About Stacey
Stacey is an entrepreneur, social worker, holistic & mental health professional, and life-long writer. She works with clients in her two small businesses, Inspired Happiness Therapy and Kaya Holistic Wellness. Inspired Happiness Therapy, LLC, is a mental health therapy private practice. As a therapist, Stacey focuses on treating trauma, including religious trauma; late diagnosed neurodivergence, primarily ADHD and autism; relationship issues; and anxiety. Kaya Holistic Wellness, LLC, is a holistic health and wellness service. At Kaya, Stacey offers body-neutral health & wellness coaching; Reiki for people and animals; and Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique to identify and heal past life trauma.
Stacey has a Master of Social Work from Jackson State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Services from Belhaven University. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a certified Holistic Health & Wellness Coach. She has completed post-graduate training in nutrition, EMDR (eye movement, desensitization, and reprocessing) therapy, and Internal Family Systems therapy. Stacey is a Reiki Master trained in Usui Reiki. She has also taken Soul Level Animal Communication classes with animal communicator Danielle MacKinnon.
She began writing poetry, fiction, and essays in elementary school. She has written online since 1997 when she created her first website on Geocities. In her 20s, she kept now-defunct journals on social journaling websites OpenDiary and LiveJournal. Currently she has two Substacks. She was diagnosed with ADHD in her 40s, which explains the many businesses and hobbies. Her latest over the top hobby is designing and painting a snow village that replicates the fictional town of Stars Hollow, CT from the television show Gilmore Girls. Stars Hollow Snow Village has an Instagram and YouTube Channel so people can follow along.
Stacey was born in Washington D.C. but grew up in Mississippi. She currently resides in central Mississippi with her longtime partner & spouse Jon and their 3 very spoiled dogs. Stacey identifies as queer and is neurodivergent. She is a pescatarian and animal lover. She has a deep appreciation for all music, having trained in Suzuki piano from age 6-17 and guitar from age 15, both of which she has since lapsed from practicing. Most often, you will find her listening to metalcore. In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors, hiking, and tending to her garden and houseplants. She is also a tattoo enthusiast, a lover of crystals, and a big fan of podcasts.
