Other Projects
Stacey was diagnosed with ADHD in her 40s, which explains the many businesses and creative hobbies. She has two creative Etsy-based small businesses:
- 3 Short Dogs Tie Dye where she showcases and sells her handmade ice dyed tie dye clothing and home goods. 10% of proceeds are donated to animal rescues except the Pride collection which donates 10% of profits to the Trevor Project.
- 3 Short Dogs Vintage and More for curated vintage & retro clothing and home items as well as handmade spell candles, ritual items, and other witchy items.
Writing
She began writing poetry, fiction, and essays in elementary school. She has written online since 1997 when she created her first website on Geocities. Currently she has two Substacks:
- Stacey’s Thoughts focuses on general topics, whatever she feels like writing about.
- Holistically Stacey focuses on her spiritual journey plus other holistic and metaphysical topics.
Stacey hopes to write a book one day. She started many fiction books when she wrote as a teen and in her early 20s, when she finished NaNoWriMo with a “lesbian Bridget Jones” style novel. She is currently mentally writing a memoir about growing up with undiagnosed neurodivergence.
Personal Life
Stacey identifies as queer and neurodivergent. She was born in Washington D.C. but grew up in Mississippi. She currently resides on unceded Chahta Yakni (Choctaw) land, known as Ridgeland, Mississippi with her longtime partner & spouse Jon and their 3 very spoiled dogs.
She is a pescatarian (vegetarian except for seafood) and animal lover. She has a deep appreciation for all music, having trained in Suzuki piano from age 6-17 and guitar from age 15, both of which she has since lapsed from practicing. Most often, you will find her listening to metalcore. In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors hiking and tending to her garden. She is also a tattoo enthusiast, a lover of crystals, and a big fan of podcasts.
